Beautiful Blogger Award

I am just now getting around to graciously accepting and posting my Beautiful Blogger Award from my fabulous blog pal Natalie from over at Martin Enterprises. Thank you Natalie!!! Little does she know that I feel the very ugliest of my life at this point in time AND I often think of her and her wisdom in my day to day. We have some very significant details in common such as: both cops wives, both stay home, both don't drink, both mothers of small children. I think there are a few other things too but those are the biggest.

Anyway, I am going to keep this short as my little 12 week old baby Little Munchkin is sitting in her chair on the kitchen table and starting to fuss and my 3 year old son Little Buddy is upstairs watching Arthur. So without further ado. I will now post 7 very exciting (not really) things about myself. Here goes:

1) I grew up in a home where my mom was playing and teaching piano all the time so I love classical music. I especially love hearing piano music on the radio. If I catch many of the pieces that my mother used to play it brings me back to my childhood and adulthood too as I lived with her in an apartment til I was 30.

2) I love nature. I love being outdoors and hike and camp and garden and walk regularly accept when it's very cold.

3) I love to cook and bake and organize and fix things.

4) I am constantly getting rid of things we do not need. I give it away or sell it or Freecycle it. I get a purging high, it's fabulous :)

5) I am very particular about friends (why are so many women so fake and bitchy?) and I have friends who range in age from their 20's to their 60's.

6) I almost ALWAYS overhear people when they say something negative about me or someone else. Call it bad timing and sensitive hearing? It sucks. I wish I was more oblivious. I hate when I go to a restaurant or store and hear the employees talking badly about the people that they serve whether it be me or someone else. Ugh! Oh, and I cannot work in an office for this reason ever, ever, again. No way!

7) Some day I would like to: Be thin again, Travel, Be a professional organizer or art teacher for kids/elderly, Volunteer with my kids, Did I mention travel?, Live in the country, Have a big garden, Learn to knit, Learn to swim, Go almost totally vegetarian, Exercise daily, Take a cooking class, Take a wood shop class, See the Smithsonian, Visit all the National Forests and Parks, OK, I would go on but it's time to feed the baby.

Now I wish I had the time to also award others and I should be feeding the baby and folding laundry and putting on my pj's and so on. These are the rules though if you read this and feel like awarding somebody or even awarding yourself.

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award

3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award
4. Tell us 7 interesting things about yourself

Chica, I read this and you make me smile. You are you and that's what I like about you. Go visit a new friend at http://www.successinthesuburbs.com/ and know that life is what it is. I wish I had a better understanding of what it is to be young and have kids, but that's a lifetime ago. :)

Was that totally useless? Yeah, typical Meadowlark though.

Love you!!!!

I'm so glad that you accepted the award! Thanks for such sweet words too. They made my heart feel good.

As for your interesting things (which I found VERY interesting!), I would totally be there with you visiting the Smithsonian and traveling! Wouldn't that be fun and not a little interesting to have some cop families vacation together?!

For now, I've rented Night at the Smithsonian a few times and just finished reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. Yeah, I REALLY want to go to DC because of it, but I guess that's why we still have imaginations as moms of young kiddies. It's takes quite an imagination, wouldn't you think?!
