Honesty Awards

So, as I have been blogging for over a year and commenting and reading others blogs too I have noticed that there is a need for much honesty for most bloggers (especially myself) as time goes on.

I have my own trials and tribulations and have reached out for some good honest comments and in turn have left VERY honest comments for those I know through blogworld that are also seeking honesty too.

I think there is a variety of reasons for people to blog. Some people want to scrapbook their lives for family and friends. Some people use their blog to journal (like myself) and ed up blogging about any old thing that comes to mind, sometimes sad, sometimes happy, sometimes nonsense. Lately I have used my blog to reach out to others at times when I feel lost or sad and have asked for honesty and advice or wisdom.

In seeking honesty from my blog pals, there have been a few select bloggers that have really come through for me. When you are looking for honesty and not candy coated words or flowery nonsense, you begin to rely on your honest commenter's.

Sooooooo, I decided to create an award just for these fabulous people. I call it the honesty award. The awards go to, in no particular order, (drum roll please), Meadowlark at Just Wandering Through, Martha at A Sense Of Humor Is Essential, Dori at Simply Dori, Natalie at Walking A Thin Blue Line, and Copswife at Married To The Law.

Thanks to all of you who have been very honest with me when I desperately needed it. I also know that I can always comment honestly on your blogs without hesitation so I am giving myself the award too. Cheesy I know, but I like to keep it real and hope that is an admirable trait to most bloggers I know. Please grab the award and proudly place it on your blog. Thanks!

You're so sweet, Val! How can anyone not be honest around you?! And you totally awarded everyone I would have too. I'll think of someone...

You are sweet.
No matter what they say ;)

Thanks so much... honesty is such a dual-edged sword in this world, but so necessary.

I know ya'll will correct me when I misspeak, stop me when I get out of line, help me sort out my concerns and generally just be the kind of people I wish I knew in the real world.

If ya'll ever make it to Oregon... there is a standing invitation: wine & something edible all around.

Peace to you my friend.
(crap. now I have to figure out how to post an image. sh*t sh*t sh*t)

I love this Award!! Thank you so much and I look forward to passing it on. This means so much to me, my friend. Big ((HUGS))
I guess now isn't the time to tell you I'm really an incarcerated 75 y/o man ? Kidding!!!

You are all very welcome and thanks to you well you know why. Glad that we have found each other and can count on each other for honesty even if it's just in the blog world. Sometimes where we disclose more with people than in real life.

Martha, I nearly peed my pants while eating Lou Malnati's with my mom and son when I read your comment. You are such a nut! Even if you are a 75 year old incarcerated man. :)

Thanks for including me in this award!

I spotted it on other LEOW blogs and was a bit covetous, then I started thinking about possible posts I could write so I could earn it too, only to find that you already awarded it to me! Whoopee!!

I'll post it proudly since I was included in an awesome group of LEOWs. You rock!
