Pretty sure we studied this sculpture in one of my art history classes in college.

Hey Stacy,
Yep I also totally had to study this several times in art school. It's called the Venus Of Willendorf and I this comes to mind when I look in the mirror at this late stage of pregnancy, except I have different hair. lol

That comes to mind when I look in the mirror and I'm not even pregnant. ;)

I thought it was a fertility goddess of some sort... maybe not something you want to hang around for say... a year or so.

Love this fertility goddess!
Thanks for your nice comment on my blog, Santa Clarita is a nice little suburb and they make an effort to support the arts.

Proving to be the history nerd, this fertility statue (Venus of Willendorf as you stated) was found on the Salisbury Plains and dates back thousands of years.

Like everyone else, it was one of the art pieces in my humanities class we had to memorize, and that was YEARS ago. As you can tell, the image sticks with ya!

Too funny not to share, ESPECIALLY considering the post!
