Ticket Stubs: Where Have YOU Been?

Ran across a little pile of ticket stubs of different shows, plays, exhibits, & museums I've been to. Thought this might be interesting. Were YOU there? Did you sit next to me? Was that you in the concert shirt, spilling beer all over your feet and waving your lighter in the air? Were you losing all your quarters in the slot machine? On an awkward date? Cheering on the opposing team? Smoking? In the mosh pit? Singing along and swaying back and forth with your friends? I have a lot more pasted in my scrapbook. I'll save those for another post some day.

I hate to admit this, because I am a the minority in my family on this issue, but I hate concerts. There, it's out there.

Though I did go to a Hall & Oats concert in 1984. I bet there ain't many people out there that can say that!

That's just it. I hate concerts and live music. They make me uncomfortable. (and I'm writing an entire book about live music.) -- I saw a country band in high school... someone famous, but I don't remember who. A lot of Christian rock bands in my youth. In a couple of weeks, I'm going to a Blues festival. In September, I'm staying up until midnight to see a band play in a bar (purely as a way to understand the bar music scene).

M'KAY guys, of the 16 items I posted only four are four live music. Anyone out there been to a great play, museum, musical, sporting event? Being a 35 year old mother and having partied ALOT I could care less about concerts now but I would still go to see the symphony at Ravinia or see Cirque De Soleil downtown Chicago, etc. Anyone have ambitions to go see famous plays, or art exhibits? Cheryl, I have seen so many bands at bars, holler if you have questions about this life. Is midnight the earliest gig you can get to. Most of the in-bar shows started at 9 or 10. Kudos to you for staying out late with little kiddos. No thanks to that. Have fun though!
