Tea Review: Pompadour Rosehip & Hibiscus Flowers Tea

I drink alot of tea. I notice many people have beer or wine reviews but seeing that I don't drink alcohol I will periodically do tea reviews. If you drink tea perhaps you can comment. Who knows maybe I'll inspire you to drink tea.

I like this one quite a bit, it's one of my favorites. It is very tart and deep red, but not at all fruity. I noticed that even though it is caffeine free if I drank it near bedtime I had trouble sleeping. I add 1 teaspoon of honey to my tea, no matter what kind it is. Once I looked it up I learned that it is loaded with tons of vitamin C. Here are the health benefits of rosehips: Excellent source of vitamin C
; also contain vitamins A, D and E, and flavinoids (antioxidants); prevents bladder infections, ease headaches and dizziness. Native Americans have been using rosehips as tea for thousands of years, and when the tea is finished, the hips were added to stews or soups. There was just too much nutrition in a rosehip to let it go to waste.

This tea I discovered is from Germany, interesting. I bought it a few years ago before I was a regular tea drinker. Don't remember where I bought it, hope I can find it again.

Mmm, the tartness sounds good--I don't care for sweet teas. I am a voracious tea drinker, so I will definitely enjoy this feature.

I love tea! I have a mug of throat coat with echinacea next to me right now. I don't think I've ever had rose hip tea, but I enjoy snacking on rose hips at the beach. Yummy little fruits.
