Cop Daddy had the idea the other day to get all of Little Buddy's cars (and things that go) together and set them all up. Then I thought of taking a picture of Little Buddy with his collection. I guess our local library had a little boys car collection which was a fraction of this one, and of course, Cop Dad said we could beat it with what we had. So a digging we went all over the house, into the car and through mommy's purse, into the diaper bag and then under all the furniture in the house with Cop Daddy's new special strobe flashlight. I can not believe how many cars we have! We even have some that are left at grandparents houses too! We are trying to have fun around the house before baby comes. H1N1 is rampant around us and we are trying to avoid indoor kid places (germ pits) so that we don't all get sick right before the baby comes plus it is cold and rainy here and we are kind of limited as far as activities.
Ooh, Mrs. Officer just gave me the idea to have a family movie night. So we will be renting Kung Fu Panda and ordering a large thin crust cheese pizza from a local pizza place. No side jobs for Cop Daddy tonight . . . . . . . . LIFE IS GOOD :)

Very impressive collection!! We all love matchbox cars and anything w/wheels.
I still have my matchbox cars from 40 years ago that I played with my brother who died. They are one of my most prized possessions.
Thank you for reminding me of this happy time in childhood, not only our sons, but mine as well.
That is a TON of cars!!

I love it! He looks so happy. So did he leave them alone so he could admire them all or did he have a plan such as racing them off the table one by one.
Te H1N1 thing is really freaking me out but we don't get the shots either. We never have gotten flu shots. I wonder if it's more hyped up via the government on purpose? People have always dies of the flu no matter what strain, which I still can't imagine happening if we got it, but they always have an underlying condition.
We have Friday nights movie and a pizza. We always get a Papa Murphy's take and bake and I let the kids choose a movie. It's a fun tradition!
I had a baby on halloween last year and it was hard for me to deal with the winter/illness issues, but he didn't get sick at all even when they 2 olders did. I blame it on the breastfeeding. :)
Oh, and about the jaba the hut. I remember being in a public restroom or walking to my car alone at night and hearing heavy breathing and being startled thinking that there was someone behind me, but no! Guess what? It was me!!! It was embarrassing. The feeling after you deliver is so awesome because you feel so teeny even though you still have the belly. I love deflating. I still have some deflating to go even though it's been a year. . .
Good luck with everything. I hope you have a great experience. And I hope you share a little about it. I always like to hear other's experiences.
Hey Mrs. Fuzz!
Always good to hear from you :) Thanks for all the comments. I was laughing aloud with great enthusiasm when I read about the person breathing behind you. I am all full of grunts when moving, moaning and snoring when sleeping (never been a snorer, but my husband has had bad issues for years with it), then he says, "Geez, honey, are you OK?" and I am like, "What are you talking about?" Then he told me I was moaning and snoring, I said, "Welcome to my world!!!" "I have endured yours for years, night after night for sometimes hours!!!" Oh and then if I try to read a book to my son at night I have to keep stopping and catch my breath at least a dozen times per book. Pahahahaha!
Then there's the H1N1 thing and I am just not a meds and vaccine kinda person AT ALL! My boy was born in January and did not get sick for months even though we all did cause he was breastfed I'm sure. I just pray I don't get any kind of flu while I'm pregnant because I am allergic to Tylenol and I cannot take anything else safely to get a fever down. Just being REALLY careful about where we go and washing hands etc. Think the govt is kind of hyper about alot of these scares, remember the bird flu?
I am hopeful for a good experience but am having some great fear and anxiety for the cesarean which I have no choice about. Baby is transverse and even if it wasn't, it has a cesarean scar from baby 1 and then the shape of it makes me high risk and makes a VBAC ten times riskier than the average woman. I hope all goes well, my first time was very chaotic and F-A-S-T!!! My water broke at home but was very bloody and then I went from 0-7 in no time flat. Hard contractions, long drive to hospital, scary, scary, scary! Then my son had tons of issues. It was so hard. Cop dad was home for 3 days and then in his own world after that. This time SHOULD be better! Thanks for all your input and care. I hope to share with everyone at least boy girl and initial details at first. Thanks again!
What an awesome night-in you have planned! Sometimes we have "picnics" on the floor with the kids just to shake things up a bit, and we all love Kung Fu Panda (in fact, when we first bought it, the hubs watched it over and over, even if one of the kiddies weren't around!)
As for the vehicles, that is an AWESOME collection! My boy loves police cars the best (hmm, I wonder why?!) but he also loves tanks and jets. He's even informed me that he's going to be a soldier and a police officer when he gets big, big, big. It's amazing from the start what their interests lean them towards!
