I like this one too. I just stumbled on it the other day and don't think we ever covered it in art school? Anyway, it is by Maclise and is titled Snap Apple Night and was supposedly inspired after a Halloween party that he attended. I think the guy that looks like he is laughing is actually trying to bite an apple. I think? If you click on the picture, it should come up bigger and I think many of the party guests are trying to snap apples in their mouths, hence the name. I love Halloween more now than I ever remember as a child because I'm looking at it from a parent point of view. There are TONS of activities to do, not just Trick-or-Treating (which will be mostly to my parent's neighborhood) and it's so fun to plan!; October 11, 2009 at 2:33 PM
