Frustrated And Feeling Crappy!

Fever, chills, chest congestion, cough, sinus congestion, runny & stuffy nose (how does it do that?) As I type this I am wearing my winter coat, sweatshirt w/the hood up and tied, shirt, jeans, socks, slippers . . . . . . . . . . still cold. While breastfeeding I can take 2 different cough medicines both which do nothing. I got myself some Fishermans Friend Cough Drops, Vicks Rub, Saline Nasal Spray, Kleenex, 2 different kinds of cold & wellness teas both of which should not be taken while breastfeeding (had to look up on internet after purchasing), ARRGHHH! This is my least favorite part of breastfeeding. If it doesn't mess up your milk supply then most likely it is not safe for infants., or vise versa. My husband got up at 3 am to go to the bathroom then baby woke up to. Daddy got out of shower at 5:30 am, guess who got up too? Baby then would not go back to sleep so I fed breakfast then he kept falling and crying while I was finishing my breakfast so I held him in my lap and he passed out. Advantage was I got a shower, disadvantage was I got shit for rest all night cause of coughing and everybody else getting up all night. Could I be married to the noisiest man alive? I get up to go pee all the time in the middle of the night without waking the baby. I can even go in the dark without making a peep (or mess for that matter). Hmmm? Have a feeling if my husband was staying at home and breastfeeding he would be a bit quieter in the am. He was to work a side job tonight and would not have been home til late. I asked him to get someone else to work the shift cause I couldn't breathe. He will be home at 4ish . . . . . . hopefully. Wah! Hoping this is not the beginning of pneumonia. Feels vaguely similar. And I'm the one who never gets sick and never goes to the doctor and gets like one cold a year which I eventually shrug off. Ha! I sincerely hope that my little one does not get this whatever the @#$% it is, it's damn wicked!

I wanted cupcakes today, so I ate some.

*Mental note: Next house must have a master bedroom & bath, kitchen, family room, and garage nowhere near a childs bedroom. Maybe the kids will have their own wing, just kidding. It will hopefully have a better layout though.

My parents have a house like that. My mom said she would have hated it when the kids were younger because she couldn't hear what they were up to. They've been married 44 years, I think, and the snoring has driven them into separate bedrooms. So now they pretty much live on opposite sides of the house, except in the morning when they have coffee together in bed. :) -- I hope you feel better soon. I have no magic cure. Wish I did. I hated being pregnant for the same reason.

Love your mental note! I hope you feel better soon. We have a sound machine that drowns out a lot of noises. However, my husband Googled it and found negative reviews. I still use it anyway. We need the sleep.

All this is WITH a white noise machine then my husband turns on the bathroom fan (bathroom is right next to babys room) as an additional noise buffer when he is getting ready. Doesn't matter, this one's a light sleeper. OY!!!!!
