I stumbled on to a very cool new show that could possibly be my new favorite. It's called
You Are What You Eat. I already love the british show called How Clean Is Your House but found this new show came on right after it the other day on BBC. It is so open and honest with a touch of british humor which is so often refreshing, it also has the same feel as the show How Clean Is Your House. A holistic nutritionist, Gillian Keith goes to an unhealthy eaters house and goes through their fridge. She then asks them to write down everything that they eat for 1 week. Then she fills a huge table top with everything that was eaten. It is alarming, even for the bad eater. Then she asks about personal health/body problems that they have such as gas, yeast, poop, etc. It's all out there. Then they take their blood and a poop sample and have it analyzed. This is disgusting but so extremely interesting and fascinating what they find. Then Gillian Keith teaches them how to eat and shop better. She then goes back after some time (I forget how long, I've only caught 2 episodes so far) to see how the once bad eater is doing. She usually finds that they have lost weight, grown thicker & stronger hair, gotten rid of gas & bloating, improved their yeast & odor problems, etc. I would recommend this show well to anyone. The only thing that is a bit hard to understand is the british terms they use for weight, some foods, etc. Even if you are thin it is interesting to see what effects food and diet have one you health. It is on the BBC channel. We have a dish and get the BBC channel but I have no idea if this is available on other pay television packages. Try and catch an episode if you can.

The show looks interesting. Wish we had more channels besides ABC and PBS. Too bad I can't watch the episodes on the computer. That is interesting how food effects you body. I did notice a change when I stopped eating meat, because my husband is a vegetarian. Lets just say at our home, we could always tell when a meat eater used our bathroom.
