Pinching At Last!

Yep, that's right. My little stinker is finally pinch-grasping. He started with cookies (hey, I was desperate . . . . . it worked though, Barnums Animals by the way). Then he worked his way to crackers, then down to Goldfish. Finally he has mastered Cheerios. Hooray! He loves it too. Yesterday I got daring and cut pizza into pincher size bits, he did it. Then I tried overly ripe bananas to go with the pizza. Well, that was pushing it because it was so slimy & mushy even I could hardly pick it up. I am so excited and relieved. Daddy is quite impressed. Our lives can go on now a little but without having to stick everything in his mouth every time he wants to snack. Finally I found these cute little crackers Annie's Whole Wheat Bunnies (pictured above). He likes them and they are healthy too (unfortunately the dog gets whatever the baby drops). I place a few on a chair and let him eat them as he walks around for a snack. Now we are going to work on clapping, body parts and eventually possibly a spoon?
